On the morning of October 29th, our foundation jointed hands with College of Economics & Management of Zhejiang Normal University (Short for ZJNU) and China-Africa International Business School of ZJNU , China Association for International Economics Cooperation, China-Africa Business Council and Economic Science Press and successfully held the Summit Forum on China-Africa Capacity Cooperation Development and Launch of 2016 Report on Zhejiang-Africa Capacity Cooperation Development at Beijing China Convention Centre.

As one of the organizers, our foundation invited African Diplomats such as the new ambassador of the Embassy of Benin, and other African Dipolamats from Egypt, Angola, South Africa, Ethiopia and so on. Chinese guests who presented on the forum were Mr. Jiang Zhenghua, the former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress、the Honorary Advisor of Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Mr. Daibing, Deputy Director of the African District of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department; Mr. Liu Guijin, the Dean of China-Africa International Business School of ZJNU、the former Special Representative for African Affairs of Chinese Government、the former Chinese Ambassador to South Africa and the former Director of the African District of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Cui Mingmo, the President of China Association for International Economics Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce、 the former Minister to Egypt、the former Director of the Department of Cooperation; Mr. Zhang Yi, the President of China-Africa Friendly Economic and Trade Development Foundation; Mr. Tang Renwu, the Dean of College of Economics & Management of ZJNU, scholars and specialists, and representatives from business associations、companies and media.
Sence of the forum
This forum was hosted by Mr. Tang Renwu, the Dean of College of Economics & Management of ZJNU. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the guests at present and give a brief introduction of this forum. He hoped that a good communication platform would be set up through this forum for Zhejiang Province and African countries, thus promoting the mutual development between China and Africa.

He mentioned that China-Africa capacity cooperation met the needs of African industrializationprocess, which would bring new opportunities.

Mr. Dai Bing, the Deputy Director of the African District of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department gave a speech. He gave a detailed introduction of the China-Africa diplomatic relations and China-Africa economic and trade cooperation situation. As China is making improvements of economic structures and transformation and upgrading of industries, it has a broad complementary cooperative prospect with Africa, which is one of the most important regions of “Belt & Road” Initiative.

Mr. Zhang Zongwu, the Secretary General of our foundation made a detailed interpretation on key areas of Sino-Africa economic and trade cooperation in his speech. He introduced the functions of China Africa Friendly Economic and Trade Development Foundation, and business scope of China-Africa Friendly International Trade Co., Ltd. He expressed that our foundation was willing to contribute more to the vigorous development of Sino-Africa capacity cooperation by taking advantage of our accumulated experiences and resource advantages.

Mr. Tang Renwu, the Dean of College of Economics & Management of ZJNU, announced the launching of 2016 Report on Zhejiang-Africa Capacity Cooperation Development, and Mr. Liu Yang, the associate editor, director of special committee introduced the content of the report. The report makes an analysis on relevant data of China-Africa Economic and trade exchanges, analyzes the opportunities and challenges that China-Africa capacity cooperation faces, and puts forward five practical measures, which provides a theoretical guidance for strengthening future China-Africa capacity cooperation.

Representatives from Chinese enterprises had warm communications with African diplomats by sharing economic and trade information, which promoted mutual trust and reached a preliminary cooperation intention.

The forum came to an end at a friendly atmosphere. This forum guides the direction for Chinese enterprises to go global by exploring African markets and carrying out economic and trade cooperations with African countries, on the other hand, it helps provide appropriate support for African countries to strengthen cooperations with Chinese enterprises, as well as take advantage of China's high quality production capacity effectively, promote the process of African industrialization. Meanwhile, 2016 Report on Zhejiang-Africa Capacity Cooperation Development provides the theoretical basis and professional guidance for the promotion of China-Africa capacity cooperation. Under the background of China-Africa friendly cooperation, we hope that all fields of society can join hands to strengthen the “All-round Strategic Cooperative Partnership” between China and Africa, promote the implementations of the “Ten Major Cooperative Plans", and write a grand blueprint for Sino-Africa pragmatic cooperation!
