On the morning of February 21st, invitation of Pakistan Embassy, Mr. Zhang Zongwu, Secretary General, and Mr. Yu Shining, Director of International Liaison Department of our foundation attended a Road Show of Infrastructure Construction for Pakistan Textile Industrial Park. There are around 100 participants at present, including H.E. Mr. Masood Khalid, Ambassador of Embassy of Pakistan, and other diplomats from the Embassy, business representatives from Pakistan and China.

The Road Show was hosted by Mrs. Dr. Erfa Iqbal, Commercial Counselor of Embassy. She introduced the agenda and the delegation in detail. Mr. Masood Khalid, Ambassador of Embassy of Pakistan, delivered a welcome speech. He first expressed warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the guests and then introduced the investment environment of Pakistan. He pointed out some advantages of investing Pakistan, such as a strategic location, with cheap raw materials and high quality labor force. There are various fields needed to be exploited, welcoming more Chinese investment. Last but not least, he also expressed his anticipation that under the framework of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, two countries will continue to deepen cooperation and reach mutual development.

Next, the Project Manager from Punjab Industrial Property Development Company vividly elaborated the Industrial Park in Lahore with a presentation, and highlighted the progress in Jinnah Garment Industrial Park and its technical details. It is the first advanced garment industrial park initiated by the Punjab government, which is looking for potential contractors to take charge of the infrastructure construction, welcoming active participation from Chinese companies. The Chinese media partner, China Textile Economic Information Website briefed the qualification to bid, prerequisites for application and other relevant information, as references for Chinese companies who may be interested in this project.
Active interaction between Chinese and Pakistani representatives
During the Q&A session, both sides actively exchanged views,which laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. During free communication session, leaders of our foundation had a pleasant talk with the delegation. Our foundation will strive to act as a bridge to help Pakistan counterparts to seek reliable partners. The Road Show ended in a pleasant atmosphere.
This Road Show has provided a platform for Chinese enterprises to directly communicate with Pakistan delegation, helped Chinese enterprises gained first-hand knowledge about Pakistan Industrial Parks and other relevant information, laying a solid foundation for future further cooperation. Our foundation will continue to work wit Embassy of Pakistan to contribute to the common economic and trade development between both countries.
